Studies of Surface Functional Modification of α-Al2O3 Nanoparticles Using Organic Chain Dicarboxylic Acid Containing Trimellitylimido-amino Acid-Based Diacids Via Post Modification Method

Abstract

With the rapid development of nanoscience and nanotechnology, wide used of metal oxide nanoparticles (NP)s have been reported. Thus, improving the dispersion stability of NPs in various liquids is essential for those applications. In the presence paper we would like to describe the surface modification of aluminum oxide NPs using dicarboxylic acids (DCA)s containing natural amino acids such as L-phenylalanine, S-valine, L-methionine, L-leucine, and L-alanine through the ultrasonic method. The successful production of the modified α-Al2O3 NPs was verified by different techniques. The results of analyses proved that the DCAs as biomodifiers are grafted onto the surface of α-Al2O3 NPs.
